Ben West
As your commissioner, I've focused on delivering results that directly impact the lives of Clackamas County residents. Together, we’ve made incredible progress:
  • Reduced homelessness by 65%: I led the creation of a groundbreaking Blue-Ribbon Commission that brought together innovative thinkers and experts to implement real solutions, ensuring compassionate yet accountable strategies to help those in need.
  • Stopped I-205 tolling: Through strong advocacy and support from our community, we’ve halted this harmful plan. I remain committed to ensuring all future attempts at tolling are stopped permanently.
  • Reversed Measure 110: I worked with passionate community members to address the widespread devastation caused by deadly drugs, implementing effective strategies to protect our families and neighborhoods.
  • Secured full police funding: Public safety is non-negotiable. Under my leadership, we fully funded law enforcement, giving our officers the resources they need to make Clackamas County the safest large county in Oregon.
  • Defended property rights: I’ve stood firm against Metro’s overreach, preventing policies that would harm affordable housing, displace local jobs, and undermine our community’s independence.

These are the kinds of results we need to build on. With your continued support, I’ll keep fighting for safer neighborhoods, affordable living, and a Clackamas County we’re all proud to call home.
